O now for censorship. Woo. I am not happy. I’m also not happy to be saying a phrase that really ought only apply to Howard: Not Happy, Kev. Remember that bit where dissent is an important part of any community? Mmm.

Of course… I just always have a hopeful spin on the ‘all politicians are liars’ thing: that they’re lying about the things I dislike, and will carry through on the things I think aren’t bad. This isn’t conscious, really…

As a non-Aussie (like there’s Australia and ‘the rest of the world’ that wishes it were Australian, why not?:-)) I can only say I came across a couple fabulous responses to the censorship issue on Australian blogs.
Here and here are links to two posts I really liked for the eloquence. It’s a wonder that with such outspoken opposition your government is managing to pull it off. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the “good guys,” i.e. those who realize that exaggerated censorship produces a nasty, dirty underground beyond anyone’s control. (Not that EU countries are “above” such issues, far from it…)
